Outfits

Outfits are a part of the cosmetic items in Back 4 Blood.
They offer players the possibility to change the Cleaners' appearance with the press of a button. Like other cosmetic items, Outfits only have a visual effect and don't offer any gameplay advantage.

According to Steve Goldstein, Outfits offer the development team the ability to apply more complex geometry compared to Item Sets, which is why they are not otherwise modifiable.

New Outfits can be unlocked in various ways, such as by completing various Accomplishments, owning the Back 4 Blood Ultimate Edition, or by purchasing the Tunnels of Terror, Children of the Worm or River of Blood expansions.

Turtle Rock Studios announced on February 2, 2023 that the development of the game has been discontinued. Therefore, neither a Battle Hardened nor a ZWAT Outfit was created by Turtle Rock Studios or commissioned to a third party for the character Tala Yazdi, who was introduced in the last expansion River of Blood. Consequently, Tala has significantly fewer Outfits compared to other Cleaners in the game.
