Evangelo is one of the twelve playable Cleaners in Back 4 Blood. He is one of the newer members of the team who has quickly become accustomed to his new life in the post-Collapse world.
Official description[]
He may be the youngest and least experienced Cleaner on the team but has proven to be a quick study. Besides being good in a fight, Evangelo has established himself as a loyal and reliable member of the team. He tends to talk a lot, especially when he’s nervous, but is eager to show that he has what it takes to be a Cleaner.[2]

Appearance[]
Evangelo has black curly hair and wears goggles with orange colored glasses on his head. He wears a sky-blue short-sleeved jacket with the "All-Seeing" emblem printed on its right sleeve. Under his jacket, Evangelo wears a gray hooded sweatshirt from the Bengal sports brand, whose sleeves double as fingerless gloves.
On his back he carries a yellow backpack with black accents, also from the Bengal brand. A black flashlight is attached to the right shoulder strap. Around his neck Evangelo wears a silver chain with a cross. He is also wearing olive green pants with a hip pouch strapped to them and charcoal black socks that go up to his shins. Red and black sports shoes are his footwear of choice.

In the video "Back 4 Blood - Breakdown of All 8 Playable Characters (Meet the Cleaners)"[3] by media news outlet IGN lead writer Simon Mackenzie and co-founder and creative director Phil Robb at Turtle Rock Studios did a breakdown of all eight playable Cleaners in Back 4 Blood.

| “ | My parents brought me and my brothers to Philly when we were young, and being the youngest the details are kind of fuzzy. Like when I think of my family, fuzzy, warm, you know what I mean. They managed a successful market and three boys, which couldn't have been easy. Luckily I was there to keep my brothers in check!
Man, I miss those guys...I wasn't with them during the Collapse. I wanted to come back, they told me to stay, I'd be safer. That was the last I hard from them...but you can't live in the past, my parents taught me that. I may be new to the team, but don't think I'm green, because I got this. Notes[]
In-game, Evangelo has a dialouge of him talking about his brothers, whom he had close relationships with. He says that in their younger days, they would eat cereal and watch cartoons on Saturday mornings. The three siblings wanted to fight bad guys, unmask monsters and solve mysteries. This is a reference to the cartoon series known as Scooby-Doo.
