Duffel Bags resemble free loot boxes that can be found within a Mission in Back 4 Blood and were introduced on August 30, 2022 with the second expansion, Children of the Worm. These bags are scattered across all Missions and can be found in both the Campaign and the Trial of the Worm modes.
Duffel Bags are limited to one per Mission. Provided the squad has managed to safely retrieve a Duffel Bag by successfully completing the Mission with one player carrying it, all players present will receive a random reward selected for each individually. A Duffel Bag used to randomly occupy either the Support, Offensive or Utility slot of a Cleaner's inventory. With Patch 1.11, only the Duffel Bag that occupies the Utility slot will be available for players to be picked up.
70 new rewards were added to the Duffel Bags with the release of Patch 1.12 on October 11, 2022.
Furthermore, AI-controlled Cleaners are now able to pick up Duffel Bags when a player pinged the bag. Prior to Patch 1.13, Duffel Bags were limited to Act 5. With Patch 1.13, 111 new rewards exclusive to Duffel Bags have been added to the game.

Various rewards are locked behind this new mechanic.
The rewards are randomly chosen. At present, as of Patch 1.13, a total of 194 rewards can be unlocked exclusively via the Duffel Bags.
With Patch 1.11, most rewards have been relocated to the Roving Merchant Supply Lines to relieve the frustration caused by the loot box mechanic of the Duffel Bags. Before Patch 1.11 the Duffel Bags used to contain up to 96 rewards plus cosmetic items from the Tunnels of Terror expansion and the time-limited 34th Street Supply Line.
For the time being, There are twelve Cards, seven Emblems, five Item Set parts, two Outfits, ten Sprays, and 47 Weapon skins within the current loot table. Once players have obtained all of these 194 rewards they will earn Burn Cards instead.
After the release of Patch 1.12, players began to report that rewards from the Tunnels of Terror expansion found their way back into the Duffel Bag system. As this is not being officially mentioned in the Patch Notes and might be a bug, these rewards are omitted from the list. In addition, Burn Cards are also not listed as the article only features rewards that can only be obtained by collecting Duffel Bags.
