Burn Cards are a type of card that can be played in addition to the Active cards the Cleaners can use. These cards have been added with the December 2021 patch Patch 1.04. They are available through the Roving Merchants Supply Lines or The Collectors Skull Totem track and can be played in each Saferoom to gain temporary effects like instant healing, currency boosts, increasing resistances, and more.
Once a Burn card has been played the players can no longer change their Burn Card.
Furthermore, if a level is repeated by a continue, players who already used a Burn Card in this level are no longer able to play another Burn Card.
With Patch 1.07, the original cap of 99 per Burn Card was raised to 999, which players can keep in their Deck Manager.
There are currently 26 different Burn Cards available which are designed to shift the fight against the Ridden in favor for the Cleaners.
On May 27th, 2022 Turtle Rock Studios teased six new Burn Cards with a video on their official Twitter account.[1]
Six more Burn Cards were presented by Turtle Rock Studios in a tweet on the 31st of May 2022, making a total of 12 new Burn Cards that have found their way into the game with Patch 1.09 that was released on June, 7th 2022.[2]
